Title 1 Parent Involvement Policy

Mission Statement

The mission of L.A. Morgan Elementary School is to be a community of positive attitudes, strong relationships, and academic excellence.

The faculty and staff of L.A. Morgan Elementary School are committed to a quality and caring education for the children of Galveston Island.  

L. A. Morgan's Goal

By the end of the 2006- '07 school year, at least 90% of the students from each Accountability Subgroup who take TAKS will pass the Reading, Math, Writing, and Science tests.

Student Dress Code

 All students attending L.A. Morgan Elementary School are required to wear a school uniform. Uniforms consist of a white, black , or yellow polo style shirt with a collar, black or khaki pants, skirts, skorts, shorts, or jumpers, and closed shoes. Black denim pants are accepted. Shirts must be tucked in and belts must be worn. The Uniform Policy will be Enforced. During colder weather, Morgan jackets or white, black, or yellow jackets, sweatshirts or sweaters may be worn in the classrooms. If assistance is needed in purchasing uniforms, please contact our school Nurse or Social Worker.
